The Inverell Show Society is an organisation which values the original qualities and ideals of the Royal Agricultural Society (RAS) which are to:
- showcase our agricultural interest
- educate the public about agricultural issues and
- treat every exhibitor in a fair and equal manner.
We support the community and actively encourage young people to become involved where they can, to exchange ideas, benefit and learn from each other. The aim is to promote the rural industries and communities in our region.
The Inverell Show Society has been holding shows in the Inverell District for over 140 years and has a long tradition of community involvement. The work of our dedicated committee ensures its success year after year.
We always welcome and encourage new membership and as a member you would have a chance to have real input into an event which has become a tradition in our community. You will become part of a friendly and close knit team which works towards a common goal.
Our Show is usually held in late February at the Inverell Showground. We have about 30 sections for entrants to participate in and are very generously supported by many of the local businesses in town. Some of these businesses have been supporting the Inverell Show Society since it began and without them the show would not survive.
In October we also run a very popular Campdraft Event which many people attend on their way through to the Warwick week long Campdraft. It is a huge event which for many is a highlight on the campdraft calendar.
